2:00 The exact moment Jaime realizes there is no way that Ned beat Sir Arthur Dayne in a swordfight.
Christ man this essay is bulletproof. The extent you go to to prove your point is admirable.
Shit, Jaime came such a long way!
I thought Jaime was supposed to be Arthur Dayne level good at sword fighting. Stark actually held his own pretty well. He was gassed because he's an older man, but still.
Jory was so brave 🙁
This fight scene is still the best in the series. The choreography is just brutal and raw. It was completely nerve-racking to watch this the first time. And the swords look so sharp for some reason. The swords in later seasons all look like practice swords or something.
that one soldier was like, this is taking too long, i want to go home
Damn! I just now realized that Ned Stark had defeated Arthur Dayne too, thanks to a punch from the back! This is karma
Jaime it's so HANDY warrior
Ned would've won the soldier helped Jaime because he saw it was getting troublesome, he most likely accompanied Jaime enough times to see the fight was taking to long so he had to stop Ned or he would've shamed Jaime's reputation or worse and reporting those news to Tywin would make him pissed.
Back when Jamie was a villain
One of the best duels in the series..
11vs 4 and those faggots used harpoons?!? Pussies
The wolf and the lion
Jaime was having so much fun. He hasn't faced a good swordsman like Ned in like a decade. The choreography was amazing
"I used to be Hand of the King like you, then I took an arrow in th knee."
A Sharpe moment at 1:40…….."Bastard!!" Sharpe fans will know of what I speak! 😀
Jamie always looked up to Ned Stark, even if secretly he never expressed it but Ned's judgement of him for killing mad King hurt Jamie enormously. To be judged by Ned Stark was hard for Jamie, specially because Jamie wanted to be honourable his entire life he wanted to be honourable like Ned, but bad luck led him to where he is now…. due to this he hated Ned because he judged him and never wanted to hear Jamie's story.
Anybody else appreciate this fight more now than when they first saw it?
If you think this soldier might have saved Jaime for stabbing ned in his leg ned could have kill him or beat him down and humiliate him
Ned was in the exact position Arthur Dayne was when they were fighting.
Ned Stark and Brienne are the most overpowered charachters in the show , Jamie top 3 greatest swordsman of all time and struggles against Ned Stark , Brienne beating The motherfucking Hound then Jamie with ease , bullshit feminist move
3:05 you can see squares/tiles in the ground where they cheaped out on CGI
I think ned would have won
Jaime was such a jerk back then.
I cant give you back you land (Palestine) but perhaps bring you justice (zionism) in the name of our king (solomon) who made a decree no jew should ever possess their own land. Zionists pretending to be Jews (peter balishe) 😉
The time when GoT wad good not like this BS wrote by HBO fuckers
jamie better than ned
Jaime looked like he was enjoying himself
One of the dumbest scenes from the show. Book Jaime would have carved up Ned within 20 seconds.
Definitely not as intense as the book
Jaime Lannister
He truly looks, walks, acts, speaks like a lion.
Ned would've won hands down
Ned Stark was one of my favorite characters in Game Of Thrones…Damn I didnt even expect for him to die
I truly think that if this fight had gone on that Ned would have won
this show was so fcking intense at one point
dam, working for one of these dickhead lords would suck, have a street fight , leave your dead mates in the street what the fuck
Ned Stark ain't no bitch.
Fire
Could Ned hold his own? Or was it a matter of time before Jamie kicked his butt?
Caitlin is such a dumb bitch that doesn't care about consequences
I feel like Jaime would've won anyway, that guard might've just saved Ned Stark's life
Jaime was toying with Ned. Could have killed him any time.
Lets face it, Ned truly won the Game of Thrones.
greyjoy men: i nearly took jory's eye
Jaime: hold my beer
loved how Ned looked at Jaime when he pointed his sword at him, kinda like saying "This is not the first mess i got myself into, boy".
The question is: did the Lannister soldier hits Ned to save him, or to save Jaime?
Jaimie was the "best" swordsman alive at the time… lies, Ned held his own very well, and Barristan Selmy would've won. In short, either Ned or Barristan > Jaimie.
Ned Stark was a great fighter but Jaime, Jamie was a kingslayer
