Microgaming Marks Game of Thrones Power Stacks for Release in 2020

Isle of Man-based producer of branded slots from the movie industry, Microgaming, has announced an entirely new Game of Thrones release, scheduled to launch later this year. By confirming the next installment of the popular series with 15 and 243 paylines, The developer has reiterated the ongoing partnership with HBO, signed back in 2014 when both versions of the game were published.

Game of Thrones Power Stacks will feature the leading characters and personalities from the hit series and provide a new action-packed gameplay full of rewards and scenery portrait images from Westeros. The latest addition to its growing portfolio of high-quality content will be developed by Slingshot Studios, one of many independent game builders on the network.

Since the establishment in 2016, Slingshot has developed four titles: Cash of Kingdoms, Zombie Hoard, Banana Odyssey and A Dark Matter.

Popularity Beyond Measure

The genre-defining TV series has taken global mainstream audiences by storm in the last couple of years, affirming Game of Thrones as one of the most successful entertainment brands in the world. HBO’s adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s fantasy story where nine noble families wage war against each other in order to gain power and control over the mythical land of Westeros has received hundreds of award nominations, including 160 Primetime Emmy Award with 59 wins. Likewise, the TV series has netted seven Golden Globe Award nominations with one win.

It is also interesting to note that the eighth season of the show reached a phenomenal status, while the season finale was watched by 19.3 million viewers on all HBO platforms. Aside from Microgaming’s popular two versions of the GoT video slot, the award-winning series has also given rise to numerous licensed products and branded content.

Fans of the series can now look forward to an entirely new journey through Westeros as the studio celebrates its latest announcement at ICE London 2020. Chief commercial officer at the company, Jean-Luc Ferriere, commented:

Deadmau5 and Tarzan Slots Coming Soon

Among the latest announcements from Microgaming are also two upcoming slots based on electronic music, dubbed deadmau5 as well as Tarzan, a fast-paced arcade inspired by a fictional character who was raised in the African jungle by the Mangani great apes.

The company from Isle of Man has also entered into a content distribution agreement with GVC Holdings and added PearFiction to its network of premium game developers. This studio is famous for launching Gustavo El Luchador, Outerspace Invaders and Smashing Biscuit. Meanwhile, another software company Golden Rock Studios, has released Star Gods in collaboration with Microgaming, a video slot based on the ancient deities of happiness, prosperity and longevity from the Asian culture – Fu, Lou and Shou.
