On The Mandalorian, Baby Yoda cruises around the galaxy in style in his nifty hovering perambulator, but might he be interested in an upgrade?
That’s what I’m wondering after seeing this tweet from the U.S. Army, which has emblazoned the barrel of a gun on an M1 Abrams armored track vehicle — or a tank, in layman’s terms — with the name “Baby Yoda,” ensuring that any and all enemies of the adorable green wunderkind gitfo as soon as possible:
For reference, here’s the M1 Abrams in action:
TIE fighters don’t stand a chance.
In other fantastical vehicle news, here’s a video of Russian authorities impounding the Batmobile:
Or rather, they’re impounding a car that a Russian Batman fan made to look like the Batmobile, and can we just say that this person did a marvelous job? And apparently the Moscow police confiscated the vehicle after it was involved in a series of alleged off-the-grid offenses. Now, we’re saying that this person was using this ride to deliver expertly targeted vigilante justice to the criminals of the Russian underworld — we don’t wanna commit to that in case they were up to something truly dubious — but we’re just saying: it sounds like something Batman himself might do.
For the “real” versions of this stuff, you can see The Batman in theaters on June 25, 2021 and the second season of The Mandalorian on Disney+ later this year.
