Game Of Thrones star Kristofer Hivju has revealed that he is ‘fully recovered and in good health’ after testing positive for coronavirus.
The Norwegian actor, who played Tormund Giantsbane in the HBO fantasy franchise, announced last month that he’d been diagnosed with Covid-19 but is now fighting fit having overcome the virus with his wife Gry Molvaer Hivju.
Taking to Instagram, Kristofer disclosed that the pair had spent ‘several weeks in quarantine, and also a couple more indoors after being free of all symptoms.’
‘We were lucky to only have mild symptoms of the Covid-19,’ the 41-year-old added.
‘We send our love and thoughts to all of the people where the virus has hit much harder, and to everyone who has lost their loved ones due to the coronavirus.’
Kirstofer also urged his followers to ‘stay vigilant and keep your distance, wash your hands, and most of all take care of each other in this strange time.’
Several other actors have said that they have had coronavirus including Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, Idris Elba and Olga Kurylenko.

Tom hosted Saturday Night Live over the weekend as it returned to screens for the first time in a month, making fun of life after having the virus.
‘Ever since being diagnosed I have been more like America’s dad than ever before since no one wants to be around me very long and I make people uncomfortable,’ he told viewers.
Today, it’s been reported by the Department of Health that another 717 people have died in the UK after contracting coronavirus, taking the death toll to at least 11,329.
The rise in deaths has been decreasing since Friday, when a record number of 980 people died. This dropped by nearly 250 on Sunday, when 737 people were confirmed dead.
