Scene from Game of Thrones S01E09 – Baelor
Lord Eddard Stark confesses his treason in sight of Gods and men before the Sept of Baelor, but instead of being sent to the Wall, he is beheaded by Ser Ilyn Payne on the command of King Joffrey.

I see a lot of commenting about how Ned should have confessed earlier about being a traitor, maybe that would have allowed him to live his life longer and serve the king. But by not compromising on his honour he remains a faithful character. That's why even now people talk about him and for me he serves as the one true lord even seven years later. He is now an example of honour for his generation. And it does payoff. As you can see, after his death the Lannisters are slowly torn apart. His true killers get killed not too long after his death. So in a way good always wins over evil.
3:07 the acting is incredible. His mouth is shaking, he can't even lie properly. I miss Ned Stark so much
Of Roberth could see that he would smash Joffrey with his Hammer!
This scene announced to the world that GOT is not some fucked-up Disney fairytale. Great courage from the producers and GRRM to kill off the protagonist in the first season. It was series-suicide but it worked well for them
Trump Needs To Do This To Colin Keapernick
Still to this day the worst death in GoT.
I remember Sansa fainting during that scene. But it isnt shown here.
Am i wrong??
so sad and painful to watch.
if only he could have joined the nightwatch
What did he say
Even Cersei as stupid as she can be realized how idiotic this was
6:14 Are those Ravens? Bran watching his father die lol
I m going to avenge this
I wish he had said that Joffrey, Tommen and Myrcella were the bastards of Jamie and Cersei, that they had no claim to the throne and Stannis was the rightful king, then exposed Jamie and Cersei for pushing Bran out of the tower and how Jamie stabbed him in the leg, I wish he exposed them for all the terrible things they did
It's been 7 seasons and we still don't know what he said, of course Ned Stark last words would be about something important that we will learn about in Season 8, the last season.
What is he shouting at 2:00??
In the Season 7 finale, Arya and Sansa along with their brother Bran get justice for Ned.
5:29 Varys stares at Littlefinger: "This is your fault, you sick fuck"
This scene gets me every time. Even Cersei thought this was a bad move. Sansa was doing her best to keep Joffrey satisfied and keep her father alive Arya tried to stop it but The Hound protected her from seeing him die 😭😭😭
In the end he whipered ''I've kept my promise'', regarding the promise he made to his sister Lyanna about Jon.
ohhh realy they fucked up eddard stark the true hero of game of thrones but??
5:00 just kills me. Arya is a child, all alone. Surrounded by strangers cheering for her father's execution and she doesn't know what to do 🙁
A sad moment
7 Seasons. I have been able rewatch almost any GOT scene. But this is the first time I have been able to rewatch this one. I thought I was finally over it. I was wrong. Ned was awesome and as a fan his death still hurts me.
"I kept my promise"
They filmed it much better than the books had told it.
Man one of the biggest scenes in the entire show
Just imagine if Ned was sent to the wall…
I love how the next recommended video is Joffrey's death scene.
Man I hated him…
still not over it this scene fucked me up
I came here after watching 7×06 (spoiler alert) and I am like arya did you really not see Sansa screaming to make it stop and the hound had to stop her. Seriously
Ah my hate is broken 💔💔
I really hope the smallfolk in kings landing fucking burns
I hate them 😒
Even after all these years, hard to watch
It would have been funny if the producers said, "Actually Sean, we're changing the script. We're going to have you come back as a ghost for the next seven seasons."
Joffrey Baratheon…… Is a little shit.
