Trailers: they’re all around us, if you know where to look. Here are a few of them.
Let’s start with the trailer for the upcoming new episodes of The Flash season 8. Back in December, the show wrapped up its five-part Armageddon event, where Team Flash overcame the villainy of the Reverse Flash and the conquering alien Despero with the help of other heroes from the Arrowverse. But there were complications. Barry Allen and Iris West’s superpowered kids from the future — Bart/Impulse and Nora/XS — may have messed up the timeline a bit, which is a very The Flash sort of thing to do. It looks like the new episodes will deal with the consequences of that:
New episodes of The Flash start premiering on The CW on Wednesday, March 9 at 8:00 p.m.
Watch the first teaser for Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio
Elsewhere, Netflix has debuted a quick teaser for The Shape of Water director Guillermo del Toro’s new stop-motion musical Pinocchio, based on the classic fairy tale about a wooden doll who comes to life. Del Toro’s movie will be set in fascist Italy during the 1930s, which should give him some interesting tones to play with. This movie has been in the works for a long time, and even though we only get a snippet here, it looks charming:
Also, while it’s based off the same story, this is not a remake of Disney’s Pinocchio movie from 1940. We don’t have an exact release date for Pinocchio, but it’s coming sometime this December.
