WeCrashed’s full trailer shows Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway working together in a new kind of office environment.
The eight-episode series is based on the Wondery podcast of the same name and follows “the greed-filled growth and inevitable fall of WeWork, one of the world’s most valuable companies, and the narcissists whose crazy love made it all possible,” according to the official synopsis.
After only 10 years, the company has evolved from “a small co-working space into a global brand worth $47 billion. A year passed before its worth had dropped.”
Oscar winners Leto and Hathaway depict the company’s co-founder Adam Neumann and his wife, Rebekah, who was the company’s chief brand and impact officer. The first three episodes of WeCrashed will air on March 18th, followed by a new episode every week until April 22nd.

With an Israeli accent and facial prosthetics, Jared Leto plays WeWork cofounder Adam Neumann in the upcoming Apple TV+ series “WeCrashed,” his first television series since breaking out on the cult hit sitcom “My So-Called Life” in the 1990s. On Wednesday, Netflix released the first teaser trailer for the limited series event, which features Leto’s high-wire act.
Co-showrunner Drew Crivello earlier told Entertainment Weekly that they only spoke to “Adam Neumann.”
“My father’s Israeli and he had no notes on the accent. I was like, ‘Okay, we’re good. We’re good,’” Lee Eisenberg, the show’s co-creator, added.
“WeCrashed” is based on the podcast of the same name, which focuses on WeWork’s spectacular climb to $47 billion in value at one point.
Neumann’s tenure as CEO of the work-share company was cut short in 2019 when it reached its zenith. It stars Anne Hathaway as Rebekah Neumann, the wife of Neumann’s character, in one of Apple TV+’s most high-profile programs, directed by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra (This Is Us).
This is the first time Eisenberg has mentioned that “[WeCrashed] is different from other things we’ve seen in this genre,” Eisenberg remarked before. In the corporate story, we see this cult of personality, and then we go home with them at night.”
As written above, The first three episodes of “WeCrashed” will air on March 18th. After then, there will be weekly installments through April 22. Leto’s latest show, “House of Gucci,” has received some of the best reviews of his career.
When Leto donned a bald helmet to play Paolo Gucci, he was once again in the running for Best Supporting Actor at the Academy Awards. In addition to being nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award, Leto is a strong contender for an Oscar.
