A few weeks back, we reported that Ezra Miller, who plays the Flash in the DC Extended Universe, was arrested for disorderly conduct in Hawaii, where he allegedly grabbed the microphone out of a hand of a woman singing karaoke and lunged at a man playing darts. After making bail, a couple took a restraining order out on the actor after he reportedly burst into their bedroom, threatened them, and stole some of their belongings.

Things have not improved. Today, Variety reports that Miller has been arrested in Hawaii again, this time for second-degree assault. According to the report, he became angry after being asked to leave a house party and threw a chair, striking a 26-year-old woman on the forehead. Police arrested Miller at a traffic stop. He was released later pending investigation.

All in all, Miller has been the source of 10 police calls in the area since March 7.

Will Ezra Miller still play the Flash?

Miller’s behavior puts Warner Bros. in a tricky spot, as the actor is involved in not one but two of the studio’s big franchises. First, as mentioned, he plays the Flash. He even has a solo Flash movie coming out on June 23 of next year, but something tells me there won’t be a followup. Even before this new arrest, Warner Bros. was considering hitting “pause” of Ezra Miller’s projects. Now I imagining they’re just rebooting the whole thing.

I wonder if Grant Gustin is going to get a call sometime soon…?

Miller also stars in the Fantastic Beasts franchise, which has a new movie — The Secrets of Dumbledore — out in theaters right now. Miller’s bad behavior is the latest in a comically long list of scandals that have plagued the films; they include Johnny Depp being replaced in the role of Grindelwald by Mads Mikkelsen, screenwriter J.K. Rowling coming under fire for her transphobic rhetoric, and the movies themselves being fairly lame.

The new Fantastic Beasts movie is underperforming at the box office. Perhaps Warner Bros. can use the excuse of hitting “pause” on Ezra Miller projects to end that series a little early?
