HBO’s The Last of Us has proved itself to be the most successful video game adaptation to have ever been made. The series was loved by both fans and critics alike, and several of the original actors from the game also made an appearance in the series. Ashley Johnson, who voiced Ellie in The Last of Us video games, was very emotional when she was called on to play Anna, Ellie’s mom, in the TV show.

How Anna laid the foundation for Ellie and Marlene’s relationship in The Last of Us?

Johnson, in one of the last videos uploaded by HBO after the Season 1 finale, talked about how Anna was the one who laid the foundation for Ellie and Marlene’s friendship, “We’ve already met Marlene up until this point and finally realize that connection when Marlene walks into that room and sees Anna in the state that she is in.”

“This is what Marlene had taken on, the foundation of her relationship with Ellie. Being a part of the story for as long as I have, and then seeing it in person, and getting to experience it, was just magical. Yeah, I’ll never forget it.”

When does The Last of Us Season 2 begin filming?

In a recent interview with Collider, Pascal said, “In the year 2023? Oh, what season are we in now? We’re getting into spring? Yes, there is a chance. Yes.” The first season of The Last of Us took around 18 months to film. So, looking at the time gap, there’s a high probability that the second season won’t be here until 2025.

Where will The Last of Us Season 2 be filmed?

According to a report by Deadline, The Last of Us has chosen its filming site for the second season to be Canada’s Vancouver. HBO has yet to share details about the upcoming storyline or when production will begin. Filming of the first season took place in July 2021 in Calgary, Alberta.
