Godzilla vs. Kong 2 gets title and teaser
Godzilla vs. Kong marked the first time the iconic creatures went head-to-head on the big screen since the 1962 film King Kong vs. Godzilla. It marks the fifth entry in the MonsterVerse, following Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island (2017), Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), and Godzilla vs. Kong (2021).
The teaser shows Kong sitting on an ominous throne and glaring out over a field of corpses. The camera pulls back and focuses in on the glowing skulls of the two titular monsters before revealing the film’s title: Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The film stomps into theaters on March 15, 2024.
Jason Mamoa tries to blow up the Vatican in new Fast X trailer
For a wholly different sort of titanic clash, we have the latest entry in the long-running Fast and the Furious franchise. What started out as a cult hit about crime, family and street racing has grown into an outrageous blockbuster saga, and this year it’ll be marking a huge milestone with its tenth installment. Fast X brings back a ton of cast members from previous films, as well as Jason Momoa as the new bad guy out to take down Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his street racing pals.
This thing just looks like a total blast. Momoa’s character Dante Reyes tries to blow up the Vatican, Michelle Rodriguez and Charlize Theron duke it out while trading insults, Vin Diesel drives his car down a hydro electric dam to outrun an explosion and more.
Fast X is out in theaters on May 19.
