The show’s star, Phoebe Campbell, has championed the cause, winning Best Non Binary Performer in a Play Award at The Black British Theatre Awards 2023. She received the award for her performance in the play – “The Importance of Being Earnest”.

What is the Black British Theatre Awards?
Every year, Black artists and performers in the UK are honored with the Black British Theatre Awards (BBTAS), which honor excellence in this field. The BBTAS was initially developed in 2019 by Omar F. Okai and Solange Urdang. At the Young Vic Theatre in London, an inspiring event celebrates and recognizes Black performers and creatives in the theatre industry for their work.
