A fresh perspective on the GOT universe

In a recent interview with Jeff Conway, Dexter was asked if he had watched any bits of the Game of Thrones universe since being cast as Egg. He answered honestly:

“Before I got the role, I hadn’t watched any of it and didn’t know anything about it. But since then, I’ve watched little tiny clips — none of the bad stuff — but little clips of dragons swooping in during House of the Dragon and cool things like that.”

The 11-year-old actor’s selective viewing shows an age-appropriate approach to the darker elements of the franchise. At 11 years old, instead of diving into the full series, he’s enjoying the exciting and visually appealing moments, particularly the dragon scenes.

Dexter’s focus remains on the adventurous and fun spirit of the Dunk and Egg. This approach has clearly worked well so far. Dexter’s charming and energetic portrayal of Egg has been one of the biggest highlights of season 1. With season 2 currently in production, fans are eager to see how he continues to grow into the role.
