Becoming a better actor
In a recent interview with Gold Derby, Dexter spoke openly about his experience on the set of season 2 and the influence of his more experienced co-stars:
“There are amazing actors in season 2, as well. I’m so inspired by all of their stories, and how good they are as actors. I’ve really listened to them, and I’ve made myself a better actor by taking elements from their acting, and trying to put them into mine. I’m carving out a career for myself, and carving out who I am as an actor.”

The young star explained that while he is developing his own unique style, he is actively learning from the veteran actors around him. Actors like Lucy Boynton, Babou Ceesay and Peter Mulan have been officially introduced as the new faces of season 2. Even showrunner Ira Parker is impressed with the new cast, and now even the lead actor Dexter has commented upon their influence.
He described the process as both inspiring and humbling, allowing him to refine his craft while staying true to his own instincts.
