How come Benjen is supposedly changing after being stabbed by an ice sword instead of just dying amd coming back as a wight like all others killed by white walkers?

they should just bring qyburn to the wall to examine the 'samples' but he could figure out how to kill them. i imagine he would love to be able to do that the way he is with death and reanimation

NED DIES Then Benjen: "We'll talk more whne i return!" Benjen disappaers. That and "you know nothing Jon Snow" (Ygritte, Tormund, Mellisandre) are like the crack of doom for Jon's life, you'd think Jon would get a clue by now

I'm pretty sure Benjen will play a role in Jon's escape(?) from the Whitewalkers in s7, but I think the dragon will also be involved in getting wounded Jon to the Wall.
If Dany emerges with her dragons during the battle, it makes sense I think for one(Rhaegal) to return and help Jon.

I have a feeling that Benjen sent Bran & Mera towards the wall so the night king & his army can cross it & although he is not a full white walker yet but he is secretly helping the night king.his looks at them was sinister.

I have a theory, That Benjen wants Bran to cross the wall so the magic fades and the night king could cross…I think he's already under the control of the night king..Why i thought that?? watch the scene where Benjen is about to leave Bran and Meera, he smiled while looking at them in a very suspicious way….Maybe i became paranoid since everyone is betraying everyone in this show 😀 but i have a hunch that it's true…

I can see Benjin sacrificing himself to go south with Jon to prove to Dany, Cersie and company that the danger is real from the North…

I feel like Benjin wont ever make it south of the wall to be reunited with his family at winterfel. I would guess he dies sacrificing himself to save john or someone else. It seems like he knows he wont survive too much long too. Maybe Blood Raven told/showed him or something. What do you think?
