one thing no one mentions is that the dragon skull they tested the scorpion on is centuries old. Going through living tissue and bone is a completely different thing, also thick dragon scales stronger than plate armor. That's not to say that it won't deal a killing blow or a devastating one but it would just be alot harder than qyburn made it look. With the scorpion you aren't looking at killing the dragon in one shot, you first want to ground it by injuring it's largest target which is the wings, and then focus on the killing blow.

Battle of the Bastards was the best battle scene in my opinion it actually made me so nervous and on edge and the cinematography was unbelievable as well but one of the best things about this show is each battle is unique which is just beyond awesome how they can keep it up
