I very much hope this theory is true.. but I am afraid not .. GOT is a little bit too straight forward to come with a twist like that when they won't have time to explain young Griff.. could believe it if there had been mention of him from time to time.. but one season left and so much left unsolved they won't have time for this .. but I very much hope I am wrong
Okay, so not only is Podrick inexplicably still in the game, but the season 7 episode 7 trailer has a shot of him walking Between Jon & Danaerys's Dothraki representative, with Tyrion off to one side and a little in front. This is the line of Targaryans meeting the line of Lannisters (with Tyrion representing both & trying to broker an accord between them) in the Dragon Pit. All the major players are there and somehow, inexplicably, Podrick is front and center between Danaerys's representative (she's in the wings waiting to make her grand entrance on Drogon, no doubt) and John Whatshisrealname Targaryan. This is not a minor scene, but a pivotal, pinnacle moment of the Game of thrones featuring all the major players. The character placement is not random nor a mistake. The director didn't say "oh, podrick, just stand anywhere". This is symbolic & foreshadows a plot development we haven't seen yet. Check it out: Season 7, episode 7 trailer. Just a flash, but there it is.
Really convincing theory.
But tyrion is the third targ. Dani is the peacekeeper head figure dragon. Jon snow is the warrior head dragon. While tyrion is the knowledge political head of the dragon. Three heads
It's Dunk and Egg part 2.
GRRM has already confirmed Brienne is a descendant of Ser Duncan the Tall, if Podrick really is Young Griff, that makes him Aegon Targaryen.
This is crazy.
There are no surprises left in GoT.. it's a dumbed down piece of pop-culture garbage made by a pair of inexperienced and utterly inept dumbasses (Benioff & Weiss, duh!). I look more like "Aegon" than Podrick does. 75% of guys that age in the Western world has same "general appearance". Illyn Payne may not be able to speak, doesn't mean he would keep quiet about a rebel Princeling posing as a squire of his household. Nope.
third targ is Tyrion
i think this theory is true except Podrick from the books is Rhaegar son not young griff. tyrion is a targareyan. In my view it is jon snow who is not targareyan. He is the son of arthur dayne and lyanna stark. Rhaegar kidnapped lyanna because she loved arthur dayne and vice versa. Rhaegar was always loyal to his wife. So Rhaegar was willing to take the hit and make himself the villain out of respect for his friend arthur dayne. Rhaegar never expected the mad king to kill ned starks older brother and father and thus had no choice but to go to war and was planning to take out the mad king after he returned.
can be true… nice catch… keep it up!
Good theory. I like the possibilities. If true, it would mean the Tyrion being Targaryan is false.
He's the Neville Longbottom of GoT
thats really good
Aegon is supposed to be very handsome and look like a Targaryen. (even with blue hair) He's supposed to have the Temper of a Targaryen. Like when Tyrion beats him at a game, and Aegon gets pissed off. He's also supposed to look like a king, and understand that ruling is not some game
Good observations for sure.Varys is still running around plotting, playing Tyrion for a fool.Varys and Ilyrio have their own agenda which does not seem to include Dany as queen.
Great theorizing!
That's interesting. I've also heard he's a Dayne, son of Ashara herself.
This is pretty interesting. I've always been curious about Pod because the one in the books is about 11.
