This scene is from Game of Thrones Season 3, Episode Two: Dark Wings, Dark Words.
Poor Ol’ Sam, despite having served in The Nights Watch for quite some time he still can’t manage to lose some weight. But once you get forbidden to die, all you can do is keep on walking.

Apparently even white walker don't want a fatty joining the undead army.
Edd has a weird sense of humor. I cracked up when I read his comment on the dead:
The dead are likely dull fellows, full of tedious complaints—the
ground's too cold, my gravestone should be larger, why does he get more
worms than I do…
thats a smart move on your part lord commander. Sam will repay his debt when he saves your friendzoned son.
Jeor forbids Sam from dying and now Sam does the same for Jeor's son 🙂
I like how Edd being truthful and not being a lying basterd
I just wanted to give Sam a hug when he was crying (no homo)
Sam has to make it to the end of series……lord commander forbided him from dying
Mate they left you cuz you're fat and slow. Your fault for letting yourself go on those chickens that daddy's wealth bought you you lazy fat wimp. Lesson here is don't be fat and slow and wimpy or the zombies will get you and your friends.
I actually laughed my head off when he said, "Aye, we left you. You're fat and you're slow. We didn't want to die."
I could hardly walk 12 k in a day fuck walking like a hundred and twenty miles
The moment you start abandoning people for being slow, everyone becomes paranoid and morale collapses. True Sam is a disgrace of a soldier but leaving him would have been a mistake.
Edd's frankness and honesty is so flippin hilarious.
All hail Lord Commander DOLORUS EDD
Will he be able to die now that Lord Commander Jeor Mormont is dead or is Samwell still afraid that Lord Commander Mormont will appear with that mean look on his face and remind him? Tarly I forbid you to die.
Tally really is a piggy.
I was in the army for many years and served in Iraq and Afghanistan, while I know this is just TV show, Mormont exhibits what makes a great leader.
Even more hilarious then the "you're fat & you're slow.." quote is the #KanyeShrug Ed gives at 1:30, always makes me LMFAOOO…
It WAS just the truth after all xD
Why does he say "I forbid you to die"?
I fucking love Edd
Samwell Tarly's voice bugs me. I hate the way his voice quivers when he talks. I won't miss him when he's gone from the show.
Only reason i came was for
"Because you're fat, and you're slow…"
Jeor Mormont is such a badass. Also, the actor, James Cosmo, has such an amazing presence. He truly is, a strong, imposing man.
You would think that all that marching in the cold would cause a guy to shed a few pounds. Especially since they don't seem to have much food. Logically, he would survive while they all starved.
Maybe they should keep him away from the craft services table…..
Jeor Mormont, the Old Bear. He and Aemon are the coolest men on the Wall. And even Thorne has his moment.
God I fucking hated Rast. Deserved everything he got in the end.
Glad he's still alive, sad that's noone is left around to listen to his pessimistic humour. Fuck D&D.
Yea we left ya….you are fat and you are slow.
I have the weirdest crush on Samwell, he's just such a sweetheart! Plus he saved a baby so….. I can't be alone in this girls!
Dolorous Edd is my hero.
commander mormont is me favorite because he knows the value of all his men and would die for him
Well. . .
(DISCLAIMER: This account used to be called Dolorous Edd)
lol you clown go get a real job you rat
Hairy Penguins of the Night's Watch
Has a ring to it xD
He wasn't such a douche in the books. In books Samwell did not die and neither did Grenn and Edd leave him. Serie destroys so much.
Crows: The only true friends you find in Westeros 😀
