While A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms was one of the most anticipated series of HBO at the beginning of 2026, it performed beyond expectations. A lot of fans were initially doubting how good a story about a hedge knight and his squire would do without Game of Thrones’ signature dragons and magic. But the spinoff has left them in awe, and a craving for more.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms follows the same tradition, setting up Dunk on his path to glory. But he has to go through a brutal Trial of the Seven first to prove his mettle which will challenge his faith in himself and knighthood.

Fans want longer A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms episodes

One of the several complaints with the Game of Thrones spinoff has been its shorter episodes. With an average length of a little over half an hour, fans have been left wanting more.
