Look, you can shout “spoiler!” all you want, but does the fact that Game Of Thrones is set to feature a bloody massive new castle, and that there’ll probably be a big fight there in season 8 really give that much away in a show that spends a lot of time having people fight in and around castles? We think not.

Still, exciting news, right?

The news comes from Watchers on the Wall who claim a castle-like construction is underway at a production studio in Northern Ireland, where most of the Westeros scenes are set.

Apparently, the construction was originally thought to be battlements for an existing structure, then other parts were added to form a structure roughly the size of Winterfell…

But, speculation is also rife that this may be the Red Keep, a part of King’s Landing overlooking Blackwater Bay. The perfect place for Cersei’s last stand, perhaps?

Sadly, it’s looking like we’ll have to wait until early 2019 to find out. But whatever happens, it’s going to be bloody, big and brutal.

We can’t wait.
