In a recent interview, Jacob Anderson, who portrayed Daenerys’ loyal commander of the Unsullied army, shared his perspective on this controversial ending.

Jacob Anderson currently stars as Louis in AMC’s show “Interview With The Vampire.” In a recent interview with Men’s Health, he was asked if he anticipated mixed reactions to the Game of Thrones finale.
Anderson explained that he knew the ending would be polarizing as soon as he read the scripts. The actor stated:
“People are going to either love this or hate this. And for me, I find that really exciting. That’s my favorite kind of thing. When you’re like, ‘This shouldn’t work’ or ‘This feels risky.’ It feels kind of punk to just throw the rule book out. I understand why people were disappointed with certain things, but I thought it was a pretty fun way to end it, to be honest.”
Anderson commented that he finds excitement in stories that take bold, unexpected turns. He felt a similar thrill when he received the script for “Interview With The Vampire,” which deviates significantly from Anne Rice’s original material in adventurous ways.
He went on to say:
“I love things like that. So there’s a little demon in me that when I read the Season 8 scripts for Game of Thrones, I was like, ‘Cool, let’s go. Let’s do it.’”
Since Game of Thrones, Anderson has continued to thrive in his acting career. “Interview With The Vampire” has been successful, with new episodes of its second season airing Sundays on AMC.
