  1. i believe due to length of the book, it was decided to be split into two. and thats why we get a lot of kings landing chapters in book four, in turn book five takes a long time before we get any kings landings chapters. also the events at the start of book 5 are happening around the same time as the events in the start of book 4.

  2. Sorry, how would Doran know that Jaime would be captured by the Brave Companions, or that Cercei would appoint Qyburn for healing him, or that the High Sparrow would become High Septon because of all the sacrilege being committed and that he would later expose Cercei? So much of this "plan" relies on huge coincidences that no one would ever be able to plan for.
The thing about Oberyn poisoning Tywin though, that actually seems pretty plausible.

  4. Hello Preston Jacobs ~ Why do you believe that Prince Doran or Prince Oberyn did no enlist the services of the Sorrowful Men or the Faceless Men of Braavos to assassinate Ser Amory Lorch and Ser Gregor Clegane way back then in the very year that the Red Keep fell to Tywin Lannister's minions as the War of the Usurper came to its tragic conclusion??

  5. I just had s thought. what if no one poisoned Joffrey and it turns out he just had an undiagnosed allergy to something in the pie? we can't trust Little Finger's claim because the dude lies constantly, and Joffre's death took much longer than the maester that poisoned himself to kill the red lady.

  6. Tywin's body reeked horrendously because Tyrion shot him in the Intestines. With no known embalming at that time, the wound, even when closed, would Not heal, and will continue to produce a foul odor which gets Stronger every day and hour. No perfumes on the planet could mask that odor. In fact, perfumes make it even worse! 🙂
