Spoiler Alert: The funeral procession of Prince Jaehaerys Targaryen

Quite recently, pictures of a funeral procession were leaked on Twitter with a giant dragon head prop and a coffin containing charred remains. But it turns out, there was another little golden coffin inside a carriage, and several pieces of evidence indicate that it belongs to the young prince Jaehaerys Targaryen.

Who is Prince Jaehaerys Targaryen in the Blood & Cheese storyline?

Prince Jaehaerys Targaryen is the older 6-year-old son of Helaena and Aegon II. He is killed by the duo Blood & Cheese, who in the books, are sent by Daemon’s mistress Mysaria (who may already be dead in the show.) Blood & Cheese infiltrate Helaena’s chamber to avenge Lucerys’ death. They mercilessly kill Jaehaerys in front of Helaena, which drives her insane, leading to her jumping out of her window later on in the series.

Theory: Rhaenys and Jaehaerys’ funerals occur at the same time

As seen from the leaks, the props for both their funerals were present at the same location, carried in a similar way, and guarded by the city watch. Rhaenys’ funeral procession is also Aegon II’s victory parade, to show off that not only did he avenge his son’s death, but he also has the strength to take down the most experienced dragon riders of his time.
