Game of Thrones actors John Bradley (Samwell), Hannah Murray (Gilly), and Richard Dormer (Beric Dondarrion) all recently spoke to the BUILD series about the final season of the show. For those who don’t know, BUILD does live interviews with stars across all industries. If you check out their YouTube page, you’ll find loads of amazing interviews, including one with Samwell Tarly himself:
According to Bradley, the fans aren’t the only ones looking forward to the final season of the show; the stars are excited as well. They all know what’s going to happen, but they don’t how it’s all going to be edited together. Bradley is looking forward to seeing everyone’s work, since they’re all fans of each other. But Bradley’s friends? Not so much.
The people closest to me, in terms of my friends, they don’t watch it. So even if I did spoil it to them, they would have no context for it all. They wouldn’t understand it.
Bradley also talks about the difficulty of keeping Jon’s true parentage a secret after filming season 7 and bonding with Kit Harington over their love of football and comedy. To hear more, watch above!
Next up, it was Hannah Murray’s turn:
It looks like Bradley isn’t the only one who is worried about revealing Game of Thrones spoilers. Murray even asks the interviewer to take it easy on her to ensure she won’t give anything away.
There aren’t a lot of healthy relationships on Game of Thrones, but the one between Sam and Gilly may come the closest. They don’t have any ulterior motives for being together. We love them, and so does Murray:
We’re a rarity in this show. I think they both come from abusive childhoods and they come with an incredible vulnerability. A director explained their relationship to me as two birds with broken wings. But when they come together, they realize for the first time they might be able to fly. They give each other hope and the possibility of a better life.
Finally, Richard Dormer sat down to talk about all things Beric Dondarrion:
It’s interesting to hear that Dormer auditioned for several other roles before landing Beric. I agree with the interviewer; I can totally see him as Jorah. And if you’re wondering, yes, the fire on his flaming sword is real. “It’s better than a lightsaber.”
Game of Thrones season 8 premieres on April 14!
