Aidan Gillen, aka Littlefinger, has kept quite busy since his days on Game of Thrones. Shortly after Littlefinger’s brutal ending (shout out to the Stark sisters), Gillen joined the cast of Peaky Blinders, and pretty much right after that, he landed a lead role on History’s Project Blue Book, which was canceled last May.

True to form, Gillen has landed yet another new gig, playing the lead role of Hugh O’Neill in The O’Neill, a Gaelic epic. According to Variety, the drama series is going to be structured as four eight-hour seasons and follows the O’Neill dynasty of Ireland, the most powerful Gaelic lordship of the time.

The story will follow Hugh O’Neill’s journey from a nine-year-old boy sent away in 1560 to an English Court to when he returns to Ireland after he comes of age to take over the crown. Will he embrace his Irish heritage and take over as a Gaelic warlord or honor his upbringing as an English landlord? His decision will reverberate through England

Tune in to see how that plays out as Aidan Gillen takes on the role of an iconic historical figure whose decision would reverberate through England over the centuries. No premiere date for The O’Neill has been announced yet, but we’re looking forward to it!

Maisie Williams stuns in Alexander McQueen gown

In other Game of Thrones celebrity news, here’s Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) looking slick with a new hairstyle and Alexander McQueen outfit at the GQ Men of the Year Awards:

A girl knows fashion.

Speaking of style, here’s Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) fangirling out with fashion icon Iris Apfel, who is looking fabulous as ever at the age of 100 (yes, 100!)

Christie’s fangirling continues with a signed picture from Rick Owens, a Paris-based American fashion designer. His collections have earned him the nickname ” The Lord of Darkness”, and if you check out his work, you’ll know exactly why.

Finally, we have Carice van Houten (Melisandre) on the set of her latest project, Dangerous Liasons, an adaptation of Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’ classic 18th-century novel.

Van Houten plays the role of Jacqueline de Montrachet, a pious noblewoman with a mysterious connection to Camille, played by Alice Englert.

Dangerous Liaisons tells the origin story of how the Marquise de Merteuil (Englert) and the Vicomte de Valmont (Denton) meet as passionate young lovers in Paris on the eve of revolution. Driven to right the wrongs of their past, the couple rises from the slums of Paris and scales the heights of the French aristocracy, seducing and manipulating both the nobility and each other to survive.

No premiere date has been announced, but the series will premiere on Starz in the U.S. and Canada. Raise your hand if you’re excited to see this series. (I’m reaching for the skies right now!)
