His sister Lily Allen famously song about him being ‘jobless’ and a ‘lazy a**e’ in her 2007 track, Alfie.

And it turns out Alfie Allen wasn’t actually all that keen for Lily to wax lyrical to the world about him being a massive layabout.

The Game Of Thrones star, 33, admitted that while he had found the whole thing ‘entertaining’, he did specifically ask that it ‘not be released as a single’.

So. This is awkward.

He revealed that when Lily wrote the song, he was in Canada teaching in kids how to snowboard and getting a snowboarding qualification.

‘I went on Myspace and listened to it, and I was… entertained. It’s a song about love, isn’t it? She was missing her little bro!’ Alfie told The Guardian.

‘She was on the rise. She was killing it. I was like: as long as it helps your creative juices flow, then go for it.’

He added: ‘I just remember asking for it not to be a single – but then obviously record labels don’t give a s**t what family members think, do they? So that was that.’

In the song, Lily sings: ‘Oh, Alfie get up it’s a brand new day/ I just can’t sit back and watch you waste your life away/ You need to get a job because the bills need to get paid/ Get off your lazy a***.

He’s got an Emmy nom for his GoT role now though, so whatevs (Picture: Getty)

‘Alfie, please use your brain/ Surely there’s some walls out there that you can go and spray/ I’m feeling guilty if I leading you astray.

‘Now, how the hell do you ever expect that you’ll get laid/ When all you do is stay and play on your computer games?’

It’s safe to say Alfie’s had a bit of a turnaround since 2007, so it’s not all bad.

In fact, the internet had a bit of a meltdown pointing out the irony of the song when he was nominated for an Emmy for his role as Theon Greyjoy in Game Of Thrones in the summer.

A fan wrote: ‘Imagine your famous pop star sister writes a whole a** song literally named after you about what a stoner jobless loser you are.

‘And then you become one of the best characters on the most popular TV show in the world and get an Emmy nomination for it.’

The revenge must taste pretttttyyyyy sweet.
