American Horror Story favourite Jessica Lange and Game of Thrones’ Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje will appear opposite Liam Neeson in detective thriller Marlowe.
Currently shooting between Ireland and Spain, this one hails from The Departed‘s Oscar-winning screenwriter William Monahan and director Neil Jordan, whose vast CV includes The Crying Game and Breakfast on Pluto.
Deadline reports that Diane Kruger (Inglorious Basterds), Alan Cumming (X-Men 2), Ian Hart (Harry Potter), Danny Huston (Children of Men) and Colm Meaney (Layer Cake) have all signed on too.

Story-wise, the movie traces private investigator Philip Marlowe’s (Neeson) job of finding the ex-lover of an heiress.
“It looks an open and shut case, but Marlowe soon finds himself in the underbelly of Hollywood’s film industry and unwittingly drawn into the crossfire of a legendary Hollywood actress and her subversive, ambitious daughter,” reads a synopsis.
Kruger’s character is femme-fatale Clare Cavendish, who kickstarts the plot, whilst Lange plays her mother Dorothy.
Fellow detective Joe Green is Hart’s role; Meaney steps into the shoes of DA investigator Bernie Ohls; Huston joins as country club boss Floyd Hanson, and Akinnuoye-Agbaje’s Cedric is the muscle behind Cumming’s gangster Lou Hendricks.

Away from skulking the hardboiled streets, Neeson revealed might’ve once been James Bond.
The Northern Irish icon recalled earlier this year how, “They approached me – I believe it was a couple of calls from Barbara Broccoli, who’s now the main producer of the Bond films. I wasn’t offered it. I know they were looking at various actors and I, apparently, was among them.
“However, my dear departed wife [Natasha Richardson] did say to me – we were doing a movie together in South Carolina – and she says, ‘Darling, if you’re offered James Bond, and you’re going to play it, you’re not going to marry me.’
“Anytime we had arguments after that, I would go up to her and [sing the Bond theme].”
American Horror Story: Double Feature airs on FX in the US, and premiered on October 20 on Disney+ in the UK. Catch up on series 1-8 on Netflix, with seasons 1-9 available to buy on Amazon Prime Video.
Game of Thrones seasons 1-8 are available on DVD and Blu-ray. Spin-off House of the Dragon is now filming.
