It’s been a huge handful of days for news about Game of Thrones season 8. At the end of last week, Maisie Williams gave us an indication of when the final episodes will premiere. Then video of a major scene being filmed at Winterfell surfaced online. And then, just earlier today, Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) and Kit Harington (Jon Snow) were spotted with members of the Game of Thrones crew in Iceland. Now, the news train continues. Keep reading for potential SPOILERS.

So Clarke and Harington were photographed in Iceland. Traditionally, Iceland has stood in for the lands beyond the Wall, on account of it having a lot of wintry landscapes. However, with the White Walkers now marching south and bringing winter with them, any part of Westeros could conceivably look like that. Keep that in mind as we move on.

Anyway, the new news: Redditor trufaxx has posted an image of several cast members gathered together in an airport Starbucks, likely en route to a filming location.

Above, you can clearly see Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont), Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) and Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane). According to trufaxx’s contact on the ground, John Bradley (Sam Tarly), Daniel Portman (Podrick Payne) and Joe Dempsie (Gendry) were also there. Bradley may be the guy with his back to the camera in the above image, with Dempsie obscured behind him. And of course, Brienne doesn’t go anywhere without Podrick.

The big question is: where are they going? It’s possible they’re headed to Belfast, where the bulk of Game of Thrones shooting is done, but if that were the case, there’s not much reason for them to be traveling together — there are plenty of flights into Belfast. Given where Clarke and Harington are, the more interesting theory is that they’re headed to Iceland for “a few days” of filming.

And that raises yet more questions. If Iceland is indeed standing in for the lands beyond the Wall, what would the likes of Jorah, Tormund, Gendry, Podrick, Brienne and Sam be doing there? And where are actors like Rory McCann (the Hound) and Richard Dormer (Beric Dondarrion), not to mention Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran) and Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm)?

I leave these questions to you, and will update as new information comes in.
