Jason Momoa is known most for two characters – Aquaman and Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones.
So, it was only a matter of time before the worlds collided in some way, but this was so subtle it takes a true fan to have noticed.
***Warning: Aquaman spoilers and really old Game of Thrones spoilers ahead***
In the Aquaman movie, Jason’s character is badly wounded after a battle with Black Manta, and is series need of some medical attention.
After being rescued by his other half Mera, he is left unconscious and dizzy, but when he comes too, his chest wound has been coated with a substance that proves to have extremely fast healing powers.
Removing it, he sees that he has completely healed – and can now continue like nothing ever happened.
His wound and its subsequent treatment has sparked fans to notice the mega similarity to his injuries in Game of Thrones.
Unfortunately for Drogo though, that one was slightly less susceptible to fast recovery magic and despite it being coated in the exact same way with some other mystery substance, he ended up dying from his injuries.
At least Jason learned his lesson from last time!
It’s probably all for the best though – as the actor admitted he was glad his Game of Thrones character was killed off early in the long-running fantasy series.
When asked about his reaction to bowing out so quickly, Jason said: ‘I’m actually really, really happy with how it all turned out because, you know, you just can’t keep that character alive.
‘Even when I watch it, it just wouldn’t fit. Khaleesi [Daenerys] … I feel like she inherits that strength and she has to be by herself and do it that way.’
Aquaman told the New York Daily News he was still a massive fan of the show – and is eagerly awaiting the eighth and final season just like the rest of us.
