This project is a built using mild steel and shows techniques which include hot raising as well as cold dishing. Using a jewelry saw to do pierce work on brass and how to pattern draft for metal. It gives a detailed description on how to age and chemically patina the metal and how to use textured hammers to create a decorative rough surface. Brass rivets are used to hold the whole helmet together and this build requires no welding. The large decorative crest is cut with scroll saw using a metal blade and other tools demonstrated include the beverly shear and bandsaw. Hope you enjoy.

  1. I never understood why the lannisters had a helmet the looks like the top of a squid (kraken) seeing as their sigil is a golden Lion. I always thought this helm would make more sense for the greyjoys. But then again the Greyjoys aren't rich enough to produce such helmets.
