Armoursmith Levi Woods builds a Game of Thrones inspired helmet and invites you to watch as he shapes metal and leather into a beautiful work of art. Levi guides you through his project revealing tips and tricks and showing detailed closeups of different tools and techniques utilized in the crafting of movie costume prop armour. For more of my artwork please visit
This project is a built using mild steel and shows techniques which include hot raising as well as cold dishing. Using a jewelry saw to do pierce work on brass and how to pattern draft for metal. It gives a detailed description on how to age and chemically patina the metal and how to use textured hammers to create a decorative rough surface. Brass rivets are used to hold the whole helmet together and this build requires no welding. The large decorative crest is cut with scroll saw using a metal blade and other tools demonstrated include the beverly shear and bandsaw. Hope you enjoy.

Hello, I'm interested in the size of the helmet for fighting how much to pull out of my head so that I can put it over the hood and which thickness is used thanks in advance
Can you make The Hound's helmet?
That makes House Lannister as the wealthiest house of Westeros 😁😁
Hear Me Roar!
It's discolored though…
If you sell this helmet you will receive some good money, all your work would pay off.
amazing
how do you hammer so damn fast?
How on earth did you get this job?
imagine doing this without modern tools, then imagine making 10.000 of them
please sir make the rest of the armor Please ? ^^
I WANT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video! Loved it!
Great work!!. If you ever sell a Lannister helmet I would buy you a safe one
disliked because you needlessly used a sentient beings body to produce your helmet.. Next time think about the choices you make instead of being a moron
do you do commissions?
Where did you get that ball stake and could you spell the name of the pins that you used to hold the metal together. Thanks. I am new to making armor so any advice would be welcomed.
I never understood why the lannisters had a helmet the looks like the top of a squid (kraken) seeing as their sigil is a golden Lion. I always thought this helm would make more sense for the greyjoys. But then again the Greyjoys aren't rich enough to produce such helmets.
I would like to see him make a full suit of Lannister armour
Gorgeous Work, dude. Seriously good stuff!
This was the coolest damn thing I've seen on YouTube for quite some time. It's the first video of yours I've watched.
Great video! Amazing reproduction.
can i buy one from you?
What is the function of that small piece of blue paper you put around the stump before you rivet it?
So this is a variation of the sallet helmet?
how are the pins called? creekal pins?
Fucking Fantastic!!! Great work!
