When I read the first book, I didn't know whether I liked Ned Stark or not. I thought he was too solemn, too sad … but that all changed when I saw his actor. Sean Bean is a jewel! I loved his acting in Lord of the Rings (Boromir) and Percy Jackson (Zeus), I really appreciated how he was cast as Ned. It made all the difference in how I saw the character as a whole. I was devastated when I saw Ned die, even though I already knew it was going to happen. Sean is really underappreciated and deserves some more recognition.
