I chose to kill Ludd by poisoning. The mother knew she would die, and drunk anyway, so the backlash from the loyalists would be smaller (plus, better to be feared than loved). Ludd is gone, which means the Whitehills will scramble for power (the girl didn't even flinch when Asher killed her brother in this video, and stated she and her siblings never liked him anyway), effectively putting them in civil war, which should put the Forresters in a better situation. Plus, the kid is so insane I assume quite a few bannermen will turn the cloak or abandon them once they know how Asher was so ruthless to kill his own mother in order to get to what he wants.

That said, Mira is coming north with a fairly rich merchant who has all the interest in harvesting the Ironwood and none in having Whitehill men plundering.

The North Grove remains a mistery, I didn't march south because of reasons I guess.
