Just sharing my ideas one of my favorite book series, A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. This video may contain spoilers for those of you who are not up to date with the series. That goes for the HBO show and the books.

I’m just speculating and guessing on some ideas that I have on how future events will transpire in the series. Keep in mind however, I know nothing.

  1. I disagree that the Starks ahve always been painted in a positive light. That we see them as such is only because they're the source of the most amount of pov characters. And we saw them before there was a big conflict.

If we saw the Lannister's perspective, we might feel very very sympathetic to…Cersei.
    – Cersei, a woman stricken with grief for her children, forced to wed a husband that didn't love her one bit, her one true love (her brother) being an even worse Romeo-Juliette story, her love became a prisoner of war and lost his hand and nearly died, her children slowly being killed off just as that prophacy predicted, progressively getting worse and worse.
    – Jamie already is acknowledged to be one of the best examples of a black character virtually becoming white.
    – Tyrion, also loved for many things.
    – Tommen & Myrcella – who could possibly hate them??
    – Tywin, lots of stuff can be said for his choices too. Is it indeed better to drag a war on for ages and have thousands upon thousands killed, or is a simply betrayal and a secure realm better?

The Starks in the meanwhile…they (by the hands of Catelyn) started an unjustified war based on flimsy evidence which they got from one source that…Catelyn doens't even trust. Yes Robb had clever strategies and tactics, but does that make him a good guy? He chose the honour of a little girl – who gave herself willingly – over the wellbeing of his entire campaign, he did so knowingly. He sentenced to death one of the generals who gave the most men, based upon him not following his commands…but he 'imprisons' his mother in her castle of birth. He doesn't eventrust his own uncle Edmure with vital strategic plans and chastices him and punishes him for making a decision that was not terrible, since Edmure had no clue about his plan.

  2. Walkers built the wall, internationally keeping/allowing the free folk to live there because they do not believe in social hierarchy that leads to the development of society that corrupts people and the earth with the building of castles and such, leading to the few leading the many into altercations that would never arise without any religious or monetary power. They started to create that in Hardhome, which was against the pact they made after the long night, so it was destroyed

  3. The unicorns are war horses. Bigger, better footed, better coated, Probably meaner, a mount that's a weapon. like a stag with a wolves temperament. Martin loves to turn standards up on themselves.

  4. The Marsh King was only defeated around 1000 or so years ago but during the war of the wolf the starks took the Warg Kings daughters for wifes which was longer ago. So shouldn't that have been when the Warg gene entered the stark blood line.
Personally I think that the Warg gene probably dated back to the time of Brandon the builder and contributed somehow to the building of the wall.

  5. Maybe the children destroyed hardhome in order to conjure enough blood magic to cause the doom of Valeria im not sure if hardhome predates the doom or not but if it did then maybe getting rid of a potential massive threat to their home of westeros (dragons and dragonriders) that might be a good enough reason.

  6. I really think Hardhome was attacked by the children and/or the others because they broke a pact. The wildlings started the fires in defense. The last hero didn't defeat the others, there was a pact and part of the pact was that men stay south of the wall. Isn't it interesting that this was the only city north of the wall that was open to trade with the realms of men? The wildlings aren't mindless savages, but they have no cities and were scattered throughout the north until Mance came along. Small clans of Wildlings posed no threat because they didn't build, destroy, and burn like men south of the wall. They worship the old Gods and their customs are closer to the children's than southern men. They also most likely avoided conflict by sacrificing to the others and the weirwoods. The wall itself was most likely a combined effort of men, children, giants, and probably others. Also the NW protects the realms of men, hinting that north or the wall is not considered part of the realms of men. The wildlings at hardhome were ultimately forced to burn everything and everyone because they knew they could not win and to prevent reanimation. The few survivors may have been taken underground as sacrifices which accounts for the screaming.

  7. If there is a sword named lightbringer, it’s dawn from house Dane, which literally means bringing light. Also it was supposedly carved from the heart of a meteor, which was definitely pre-Valyrian steel

  8. Ever wonder if the vision Bran saw while in Summer of the snake with wings was possibly a vision of either past or future events? His powers were beginning to awaken and probably very confusing to him of how to decipher them (wolf dreams/visions).

  9. OMG!!! I FINALLY see the fourth dragon in the sigil! I have looked all over that book trying to figure out what picture had the fourth dragon and right when I was closing the book I FINALLY saw it!!! I’M SO EXCITED!!! It’s like a final confirmation of my dragon theory!!! I believe from clockwise it would be Drogon on the bottom (9 o’clock position) Rhaegal and Viserion in the middle and Morning on top (12 o’clock position) (also being the largest of the four!) 🔥🔥🔥🔥🐲🐲🐲🐲❤️❤️❤️❤️

  10. I 100% agree that we are getting a forth dragon! I believe it will be 160+ year old dragon and will be HUGE. I believe the dragon is in The Mountains of the Morn. “Only The Prince that was Promised can bring the dawn” and I believe that “dawn” is the dragon Morning. My theory is this: Rhaego is NOT dead, Mirri Maz Duur lied to Dany. The return of Rhaego is the completion of the MMD prophecy to Dany. I believe Rhaego will be riding back into the story in season eight on the back of Morning. Rhaego will be bringing his own army (Fiery Hand)and his very own dragon! “Dragons stirring In Asshai” I think is a direct reference to Rhaego and Morning in Bran’s falling vision. “To touch the Light you must pass beneath the shadow.” I believe the “light” in Quaithe’s prophecy is referring to Morning which are synonymous. ❤️🐲🔥

  11. My idea on hardhome is that some dragon riders came north for some slaves, and then ran into same skinchangers, who may have taken control of some dragons and it was just a crazy huge battle, of ice and fire. Also, It was the Roanoke settlement.
