Saturday Night Live is not wrong when they announced that the only two things all Americans can get behind right now is Avengers and Game Of Thrones.

…So naturally, they mocked the hell out of them in the latest edition of sketch, Celebrity Family Feud.

Endgame’s Thor, Thanos, Okoye and Groot faced off against Brienne, Tormund, Melisandre and Bra in the new game (which is basically Family Fortunes for the UK, just with different name).

With Keenan Thompson once again in the driver’s seat as Steve Harvey, the quippy one liners came fast and furious and, miraculously, managed to avoid almost all spoilers in the process.

That in itself is an achievement.

Steve/Keenan couldn’t help but make a dig at the show’s dodgy lighting job on last week’s episode, and joked: ‘I watched it, but I couldn’t see it. You know it’s dark when you can’t see the white people.’

Thanos admits to being hooked on steroids during the brief chat (we knew those muscles came from somewhere!) while Tormund can’t help but be a little creepy in his lust for Brienne.

Meanwhile Okoye just wants to chill out in sweatpants and binge watch Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club (you and me both, hun!) and Groot (aka Leslie Jones) gets a bit sassy with a simple: ‘B***h, I’m Groot!’

Between Melisandre flogging Maybelline and Bran warging out ‘on the good weed’ according to Steve, it’s definitely a mismatch made in heaven.

But when asked about her bucket list, Brienne (played by Kate McKinnon) quickly responded: ‘Jaime Lannister. One night. Three Hands. No rules.’

Unfortunately for her it’s not enough to save her – but of course, Arya Stark swoops on in at the last second and saves the day by talking about getting jiggy with Gendry. Naturally.

This week’s episode was fronted by old SNL icon Adam Sandler, who returned to the series after almost 20 years away.

Reprising old roles like Opera Man and bringing back other SNL legends including Kristen Wiig and Jimmy Fallon, and the show was definitely one to remember.

Saturday Night Live airs weekly on NBC in the US.
