A KEY fixture of Belfast’s burgeoning film industry has gone up for sale.
Titanic Studios, where much of HBO’s worldwide smash TV series Game of Thrones was filmed, has gone on the market.
The 42,000 sq ft unit, located next to the Titanic visitor attraction, is still under license to HBO.
The price of the asset is only available upon request.
The standalone steel portal framed building includes the MacQuitty and Hurst stages.
The three-acre site, held on a 250-year lease from Belfast Harbour Commissioners, is situated directly adjacent to the Titanic slipway and Victoria Wharf on the eastern side of the River Lagan, where it meets Belfast Lough.
The space comprises two large clear span studios which are connected by a large acoustic door allowing for a combined use as one large space.
Mark Riddell, director at Riddell McKibbin said it’s a truly unique listing.
“There will be no doubt much excitement as this studio, now known all over the world due to shows filmed here, comes to the market.
“The studio is a once-in-a-lifetime investment opportunity for any purchaser and so we would not expect this to remain on the market for long.”
