Game of Thrones star Bella Ramsey won millions of hearts playing the young and brave Lyanna Mormont on the HBO fantasy epic, even though her role was short-lived. She accurately portrayed the proud and quirky young warrior as she stabbed a giant wight during her last battle at Winterfell. It seems her days of adventure are not over yet, she has landed yet another action-filled role in HBO’s upcoming video game adaptation The Last of Us, and she’s grateful for it.

Ramsey has been very open about her sexuality as a non-binary, but she has also clarified that pronouns don’t bother her. In her recent interview with GQ Magazine, she revealed that she wore a chest binder for 90 percent of the duration of filming. She said, “Which probably isn’t healthy, like please bind safely.”
“This is what bothers me more than pronouns: being called a ‘young woman’ or a ‘powerful young woman’, ‘young lady,’ but I’m just not [that],” Ramsey continued. “‘Catherine Called Birdy,’ I was in dresses. ‘Young Elizabeth,’ I was in a corset. And I felt super powerful in that. Playing these more feminine characters is a chance to be something so opposite to myself, and it’s really fun.”
“Someone would call me ‘she’ or ‘her’ and I wouldn’t think about it,” Ramsey said, “but I knew that if someone called me ‘he’ it was a bit exciting. I’m very much just a person. Being gendered isn’t something that I particularly like, but in terms of pronouns, I really couldn’t care less.”
