my one issue w this scene is beric telling jon that he doesn't look like ned… jon's whole thing is that he looks more like ned than any of the stark children, a fact that makes catelyn even more resentful towards him

I wish the arc between all these characters lasted much longer. Great chemistry and dialogue.

I love this scene. But it is stupid, because the whole reason that Ned was able to pass off Jon as his son is because Jon looks more like him than any of his true born sons. That's part of the reason Catlyn hated Jon so much. Plus, Kit Harrington looks like Sean Bean!!

1:54 Richard Dormer does a terrific job as Beric. His voice reminds me of Alec Guiness. He has a soothing voice . . . a storyteller's voice.

I'm gonna be the millionth person to say this, but this man's voice is just gold.

I think everybody is in agreement when I say that keeping Beric around longer in the show than killing him offscreen like in the books is probably one of the best adaption changes. In a wishy washy season 7, you can always get giddy seeing Beric because you know some good scenes are coming.

I want Richard Dormer to narrate my life in an audiobook after I die

I'm not enjoying the show's writing as much as the first seasons, but this was one of the best dialogues of the series. Beric was badass in this episode.

Love Beric, one of the better made characters in the series. Would have been cool to see him more. They really could make a miniseries about the brotherhood, especially if they brought in Stoneheart.
