Movie bloopers are a lot of fun, plain and simple. Film fans love to watch actors flub. And considering the way they make themselves and their co-stars laugh when it happens, actors clearly love bloopers too. Filmmakers, on the other hand, may not love them quite as much. Every time an actor makes a mistake, it delays the shoot just a little, and time is money. And every so often, they’re forced to deal with a truly world-class mess-up — a mistake that costs the production big money due to property damage and personal injury…

  1. I've always been curious about the blooper I saw in the original Sleepless in Seattle. I went to the move theatre when it first came out and was surprised to see the blooper. It's near the end of the movie when Meg Ryan was in a high rise restaurant with her fiance. She has to excuse herself so she can meet with Tom Hanks in the next scene. Imagine the theatre audience surprise when the complete scene is shot with the boom microphone hanging over the table during the Etire Scene! I should have got a free movie pass out of that one, but I never said anything to anybody. Oddly enough movie goers didn't really talk to one another back then either. So we all just went home and chalked it up to a Hollywood oversight that past the editing room.

  2. Why didn't they just re-dub Q to say that 007's smart-gun would only fire if it were within a meter of his wristwatch or something? Much cheaper and easier than animating fake Bond hands…

How long does it take Cavil to re-grow a mustache?

  3. blooper = a funny mistake made by an actor during the making of a film or television programme and usually removed before the film or programme is shown…
Where was a funny mistake made by an actor??? I missed it! Broken arm? Yeah, it's a funny mistake.

  4. I could have removed his moustache for a lot less money and you wouldn't have realised he had one at all.
I think people get stuck in one methodology of doing something so ignore all other ways.

  5. Oh, come now, how did you miss the most expensive one ever – the miscue during the invasion scene in Inchon , where a production assistant failed to inform the director that several of the ships provided by the US Navy were several miles off course, because he was too embarrassed to admit his mistakes?

The reshoot cost the already over-budget film – which was already being boycotted by distributors while in production when the connection to the Unification Church came out – on the order of $1.5 million (1981 valuation) according to some accounts.
