In Game of Thrones season 8 will we see Bran stark have a flashback of Roberts Rebellion? Will he use his powers learned from the cotf the children of the forest and Blood Raven to look back at Lyanna Stark when she was Knight Of The Laughing Tree. Or will he look ahead and see what happens after the war is over with Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen or their child We didnt get alot of that in game of thrones season 7 episode 7 but maybe more in season 8. If not then Roberts Rebellion is the perfect spin off series that may never get done. This is why i think it should Tony Teflon the Don Teflon Tv GOT hold the door

  1. It would certainly make sense as we know and are familiar with the people in the story. The transition would be easy for those who have only watched the show. As a show watcher AND book reader I would love to see the Rebellion!

Curious – who would you cast as the young Robert Baratheon?

  2. Not a fan of your gif vids

I feel like Dance of Dragons would be the best prequel. New characters we've not met before and not seen. Greens vs. Blacks! Roberts Rebellion would be great but it would be filled with characters we already know.

  3. How about if each episode is a different POV leading up to one point in time as season 1? You will have the same scene in a few episodes but the characters acted differently depending on who is the POV? Little fingers opinion of Brandon would be different to how Ned looked at him? Ep1 Jaime from kingswood brotherhood to the declaration or war? Episode 10 Robert death of parents to Gull Town?

  4. Tony they should do a prequel
Called the life and death of the mad King. That way we get summer hall and Robert's rebellion. We could see Tywin as the hand of the king, Rhaegars birth, a whole bunch of good stuff

  5. I agree it would be the best it would be awesome to see everything we have been hearing. If not a show it would be a bad ass movie with a production budget over 100 million would be like a old Spartacus movie just something amazing.

  6. Teflon I agree 100% Start the petition I will be your first signature!!! Don't care about anything else! Yes I read the last two books and started the first, we care about the current characters of the show, we invested our emotions in knowing their story!

  7. Roberts Rebellion all the way! As long as young Ned doesn't look like Neil Patrick Harris again…that was a fail. This could be SO EPIC. They are missing out on an amazing opportunity for sure!

  8. An episode guide sounds like fun to create. I would love to see Robert's Rebellion – it could be a limited run series, along with a regular run series based on another theme. Mostly, I wish HBO would use the same cast of actors, the older and younger – just put them in different kinds of roles. Much like a theater troupe – where an actor plays the king in one play, then a minor role in another. This has been such a great cast, it's a shame to not see them again.

  9. Yeah don I want Roberts rebellion, and we would get to see Robert aka "demon of the trident" " laughing storm reborn" Baratheon in his prime. Also would like to see ninepenny kings.

  10. Was so disappointed when they said Rob rebellion was not a prequel option. It goes up characters they we know and ones that we only hear as legend. I agree a stupid decision and a missed opportunity for a guaranteed ratings hit. I agree also with other comment that could be a feature film as a trilogy. Maybe that's what GRRM is holding out for

  11. Roberts Rebellion should be on the table. Especially if they begin with…."You thought you knew what happened. You were wrong." And what if Robert knew that Rhaegar had NOT kidnapped Lyana and even lied to his best friend (Ned) in order to get him to join the rebellion?

  12. Tony, I'm not always with you, but I am 100% with you on this take. Robert's Rebellion would be a perfect miniseries to bridge the gap between Game of Thrones and the five prequels they are working on.. and they need to nail whichever of those they eventually put out.

  13. I do like all of the history behind Robert's Rebellion and I would love to watch it all play out on the screen, but we would be loosing out on most if not all magical elements of the current narrative so I think most casual fans who are not necessarily in tune with the books will probably be disappointed with that aspect of the Ice and Fire world missing. Robert's Rebellion would mean no dragons, dire wolves or white walkers.
