With HBO having wrapped filming on the last season of Game Of Thrones fans around the world are waiting for any and all news.
And while spoilers are far away at this moment, because let’s face it they’re keeping everything under wraps in the strictest of terms.
But despite the wall of silence and secrecy surrounding the show drips and drabs of information are leaking out, the latest being the casting of Laura Elphinstone.
The actress, best known for her work on stage and appearances in the likes of Call The Midwife, has landed what looks to be a small but recurring role in the final season.
According to her agency Independent Talent, the actress will play a character called Nora.
Listed as working with various directors, the entry on her CV alludes to a small but recurring role.
However, Watchers On The Wall, who originally spotted the news warn that when it comes to Thrones the ‘various’ directors card has been played as a placeholder.
So, as of yet there’s no way to know what kind of impact (if any) Nora will have over the six final episodes of the fantasy epic.
There’s not notable character of that name in the books, and the name hasn’t been bandied around in previous seasons so we’re assuming it’s a minor character that will pop up either in King’s Landing or the town outside of Winterfell.
As it is, she’ll need all the luck she can get with the Night King and his army on the march.
