Cersei Lannister and the rest of the Home Box Office crew has been keeping mum about the events of the final season of the show while fans literally canât find themselves able to wait any longer. However, the actress behind the character does have a few words of her own which serve to provide fans with more than sufficient validation to watch the final season and enough anticipation to wonder whatâs to happen even more. As if they needed either of those things, when asked about the end of the new season Headey said that it was going to be good.
While the actress did not reveal anything about the final season, let alone how it ends, she did have a few things to say about how annoying it can be whenever a fan asks them about the end of the season. She said that itâs one of the most frustrating parts of the job when she is bound by a contract to keep something a secret.
âItâs part of the success, you know, being consumed with it and whatâs happening. I think itâs just frustrating when you do interviews for Thrones and actually canât say anything,â said Headey.
Despite that, she has apparently slipped up once over the course of the last few seasons and revealed a few spoilers to a fan of hers while drunk and then later sought them out and âhunted them down and made them sign in blood not to say anything.â Headey proves to be just as scary as Cersei at times like these.
Headey also revealed that she sometimes wondered whether the day of her shoot would be the last day that Cersei gets to live in the series, especially in a world built upon the corpses of all those competing for the throne in a situation where death strikes hard and without a warning. Luckily for her, Cersei hasnât died in the TV Show⊠Yet.
âYeah, I think I had many fantasies about how Cersei would â if she were to â die,â she said. âBut I think it was, every year, anyoneâs lying if they say they didnât kind of rush to the end of each script and go, Oh, PHEW!â
When asked the obvious questions about the upcoming season and the end of the same, she kept tight-lipped but said that the season was something which was bound to surprise everyone. âI think people will be surprised at every turn this season,â she said.
While this statement of hers serves only to strike up more controversy and build more anticipation among a crowd thatâs already on the verge of exploding, all things are bound to be cleared within the next two months as the end of the season is to shortly follow afterwards. But with all the added hype behind the final season, especially after the words of Kit Harrington and the statements of Liam Cunningham, all will soon be revealed as soon as the final episode of the season airs. One thing is for sure. Game of Thrones will be missed and remembered for a long time to come, and fans will enjoy each fleeting moment while it lasts.
