Amber Plaster takes on the task of discussing whether or not Sansa is great.

-Sansa recap and highlights
-The direwolves and the Stark children. Perhaps when Lady is killed, so is her connection to
the north.
-When Sansa starts to spend so much time “praying” at the weirwood (??) tree in Kings
Landing, she eventually stops praying at all and just goes there to be left alone.
-She was forced to watch the beheading of her father
-She was held hostage by a very hostile family in Kings Landing
-She was so depressed she was thinking about suicide
-She was very nearly raped in the books by Joffery and the hound
-She was humiliated in the court by Joffery which was important to her
-Forced into a marriage with a man she doesn’t know, that even though Tyrion is a very
charming character, he is much older than her AND a member of a family that killed her
father.
-At the Purple wedding, she has to watch that performance of how her brother died and she
remians calm

  1. I watched the first season of Game of Thrones and then went and read the books. I have always really liked Sansa for some reason maybe for originally being ambitious and dreaming big but eventually being a survivor. I thought that the concept of Sansa's virginity was going to be a big deal because in the books they hint at her losing it several times but she has yet to. The hound saves her from being raped in kings landing, Tyrion willfully doesn't go through with the bedding ceremony or consummating the marriage, she goes to the eyrie as a bastard daughter where others like a singer might think its ok to take her. None of those happen and its like she survives some of the craziness that is the Game of Thrones with her innocence intact. It would be awesome to see her be able to willingly give it to someone as her starting to play the game of thrones or as you say a true believer in love. In the show obviously they put her up with Ramsay and its forcibly taken by no means her choice it is more little fingers doing. It just drives home her sufferage and continues to put her as a pawn in the most cruel players game. (She has been close to and been used by almost all the cruel characters: Cersei, Tywin, Joffrey, Robert B, Varys, Littlefinger, Ramsay, Roose) I think they did it to make for a great story of rising from the Ashes and while it may make her victory well earned I feel like it was making light of what the original story was making a large part of her character.

  2. Sansa is my favorite GOT character. She is def the most well rounded character because of all that she went through and learned from. You’d think she’d be more relatable for people since all of her battles were mental, not physical… but yeah. She’s the absolute best. And I always had faith in her. Especially during her relationship with Littlefinger. She had been through too much at that point to not see through his lies. She was learning from him and playing a part like she did in Kings Landing! Team Sansa, forever and always.

  3. I don't always like sansa but I like that although she experienced so much that no needs to experience so much darkness she did not become the monsters she faced. U know what u mean?? That's what I love about her

  4. I'm always looking for good Game of Thrones content especially when the show isn't airing. What podcasts or youtube channels do you recommend?

Also, I'm not a fan of all of the various afterbuzz channels. I'd rather follow one channel for all of my content than following multiple. But I was wondering why Afterbuzz seemed to no longer have much content so that's good to know. I found this because it popped up on my recommended on youtube.

  5. I like Sansa especially when Jon and Sansa are together. They are both great leaders in different ways and cover their weaknesses. Also, I think a lot of the times Sansa cries are justified. I think Sansa should have questioned Jon in private about giving the land to the houses not in public.
