Silverwing was once ridden by Queen Alysanne Targaryen and later by Ulf White during the Dance of the Dragons. Known for her silvery color and friendly nature, Silverwing often coiled with Vermithor, the dragon of King Jaehaerys I. Queen Alysanne Targaryen shared a deep bond with Silverwing. Alysanne flew Silverwing to many places, including White Harbor, Winterfell, and the Wall. However, Silverwing refused to fly north of the Wall, a fact that troubled Alysanne, as Cregan Stark mentioned to Jacaerys in Episode 1 of Season 2.

After Alysanne’s death, Silverwing remained riderless until Ulf White claimed her during the Dance of the Dragons. Ulf rode Silverwing in several battles, including the Battle in the Gullet and the first battle at Tumbleton. In the latest episode of House of the Dragon, Prince Jacaerys mentioned to Rhaenyra that the riderless dragons could be found new riders to aid in the war. With the sowing of the dragonseeds now underway, we are likely to see Silverwing appear in the show soon.
