Ned Stark is dead and he deserved to be executed by beheading as no one else. Do you remember what he did in S01E01? He beheaded a guy without any trial, without any questions. Ned was oblivious to lives of others and in S01E09 he got what he deserved. He found out what it means when someone is oblivious to his life for a change. Martin did a good job there. No one earned such end more than this hypocrite.
