  1. That clip where she crucifies the masters (even the innocent ones) and she stands at the tower with that particular music and the Targaryen symbol flag above her were the epitome signals of how twisted Danny is becoming. Not to mention how she betrayed and abused that noble prince she was married to or how she would give people to her dragons…yeah I think those are pretty good signs that even if Danny doesn't become like her father..she definitely has blurred lines when it comes to her ethics. Plus believing that a child of incest will become mad (just like her brother), is not a shocking belief. It is only natural that kids of incest become mad at some point. Her brother was a wacko as well.

  2. What i don't get is why so many people are scolding Daenerys for crucifying the Masters .
This guys ordered the crucification of children not long before. They make the Unsullied go and buy a kid to kill it at the end of their training. They got some of their own medicine and people are mad about it ? .

  3. Dany is far from becoming like her father. You left out the scenes where Dany acknowledges that her father was a monster, plus the part where Barriston was telling her about her father she was clearly disturbed by what she heard. The other factor you left out is that Aerys killed people for almost no reason whatsoever, Dany at least, not that I'm saying this is an excuse, at least kills with fairly good reason. For example the Dothraki Khals were deciding if they should sell her to her enemies or rape her, the slave masters tortured slaves and murdered and crucified 169 children in order to scare her, they just ended up pissing her off.

  4. Daenerys has been playing on easy mode since she got her dragons, and only fought generic disney villains… Let's hope Euron steals her dragons with dragonbinder… she needs to lose the smug-"he he no one can defeat me"-face.

  5. This is an old video, but AltShiftX is right: Dani worse than the Mad King. The Mad King had no legions of True Believers ready to fight past death for him. Aerys's court was not full of men in love with him and the idea of him. Dani has both.

  6. I don't think her ruthlessness is a sign that she is going mad. She's learned a lot about what it takes be a conqueror in that world and being ruthless with those who are dangerous to her cause and her people is a major lesson she's lost a lot to understand. But it is selective and not something she unleashes on people for fun. She's had to be tough, calculating and absolute in order to be taken seriously as a leader. But she is still learning where the lines are drawn and how to balance logic with mercy and justice. She's coming to understand political dynamics, where compassion is needed in the judicial system, who to trust both personally and politically and when ruthlessness needs to be dialled up and down. She's still fairly young for an exiled conqueror. Her alliances with Dorne, the Iron Isles and the Reach — and also granting the Iron Isles independence during her reign — has shown a great amount of thought and understanding. King Aerys' madness was much more than ruthlessness when necessary. It was sadism. It was paranoia. It was psychopathy. It was random cruelty. I just don't see that in her, even when she's had to be cut-throat.

  7. a source close to GRRM said that the winds of winter will be about daenarys getting mad. I don't think D&D would make Dany a villian but anyway the show is just a fan fiction the real story is in the books. by the way WoW is coming in January

  8. The clips chosen was selectively used to make it seem like she's going mad. If I didn't watch the show or paid better attention, I'd see it this way but I dont. Her character is far more complex than to become like her father. She is ruthless, yes, but who said being ruthless is entirely a bad thing?

  9. Dany is not my fav charachter , but to be honest you can't compare her to Jon , who practiced with sword , lance , bow and learned about politics (probaly) with Robb since they were young boys. She grew up with a brother who was mad, she even admits in books that she doesn't know much about her house history. She is unexperienced , naive young girl who wants get back throne , which is alright since she consinders herself only surving Targaryen and all humilation she suffered. She wants it becuase of revange , but becuase she thinks its her duty too. After all , Targaryens builted 7 kingdoms. Cersei will die , there's no point in keeping her alive anymore , so she will conquer King's Landing and some lords (if they are smart) will bow to her since they knew what happened when Aegon , Visenya and Rhaenys came in Westerons and what they done to houses that disobeyed them. She is not Azor Ahai , but dragon needs three heads and she will have important role to play against white walkers. Jon probaly will ride Rhaegal(since it was named after his father , it would be amazing) and ,I hope , that Tyrion will get Viserion. But we'll see…

  10. During her time in meereem she didn't have anyone good to counsel her. Sir barristan was the only one who counseled her but he ended up dying. Tyrion coming to Meereem to help her was the best possible outcome for her. As long as she trusts his counsel I don't see her turning into the mad queen anymore.

  11. I think madness is like a gene that runs through the Targaryen bloodline. It's the sense of destiny that either turns them toward greatness or calamity. The incest probably exacerbates it but it is part of what makes the lineage what it is.

  12. Now that the red woman has ridden south will she make an alliance with Cersi against Daenerys? If so, will her magic be effective against dragons? One thing for sure the plot didn't send her south for nothing.

  13. Tommen and Myrcella and are not mad. Many people in Dorne born from incest and are not mad.
This video's reasons are unexistant for saying Danny is becoming like his father. Rhaegar Targaryen was born from incest and he was not mad either. And many other Targaryens like him.

  14. I know GoT loves to rip our hearts out from time to time. I really hope though, that they don't take what I think is one of the more hopeful characters and turn Dany into a Sith Lord. Instead, I'd like to see Dany accept the mad rage that might be part of her psychology and, like an alcoholic, continually struggle to push past it. We saw it in S06E09 when she described her method of dealing with the masters until Tyrion convinced her otherwise. Again, I hope the writers show that inner struggle. Maybe she needs to repeat "I'm not my father" to herself here and there to let us know, she knows.
