After a fire broke out at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Florida football coach Dan Mullen had the perfect response on Twitter, using a gif from Game of Thrones.

There was a fire at the home of the Florida Gators on Saturday afternoon that was initially reported to have started as a dumpster fire but later was clarified to be a result of a maintenance tractor that caught fire.

In any event, it was a scary situation for a while until the Gainesville Fire Department was able to douse the flames and no one was hurt in the process. There was no structural damage and it could have been much worse if the Gators were hosting a game this afternoon if not for the delayed start to the season.

Florida football head coach Dan Mullen reacted to the video of the fire that was posted on Bleacher Report saying his team is going to be on fire this year, but we’ll have to wait two more weeks until their season kicks off on Sept. 26.

Dan Mullen had a humorous response to the fire that erupted on the third level at The Swamp with a perfectly appropriate gif from Game of Thrones.

In a follow-up tweet, Mullen shared a gif from Game of Thrones that couldn’t have been any more perfect. Florida should start their season with a 7-0 lead just for his tweet game.

The gif of Daenerys Targaryen with a raging dragon fire inferno behind her is what Mullen is hoping will be symbolic of the Gators to the rest of the SEC East this season.

Dragons, although mythical creatures are basically flying gators who can breathe fire, so the connection is there!

And now I’m sad at how the Game of Thrones writers did Daenerys dirty in the final season, but here’s to hoping the Florida football squad will have a better fate in 2020.
