  1. I'd like to see him fight someone like Fred Kassi next. Short awkward stocky heavyweight who can punch back. If he struggles with a C level fighter then we know his progression opposition needs to slow down, if he smashes him then onto British/Commonwealth title fights by the end of 2018.

  2. He's an exciting prospect for sure. Has he got the heart and what's upstairs for the big leagues? He's still young so hard to tell. He definitely ate a few of Darch's jabs in this fight. He should work on that. All it is is learning a little patience I think. Dubois has got a big right hand and knows how and where to place it. Knowing he has that should afford him the space to avoid getting hit and waiting for his gap – dare I say it – like Wilder.

  3. It is pointless making comparisons between Dubois and Joshua because they are light years apart in where they are at. Nathan Gorman will give him a real challenge as they both know each other games inside and out.

  4. Jury's gonna be out for a long time Hatman. Fisheyes wont put him anywhere near a decent opponent (which is a damn shame for his development as a boxer), needs a step up, not a step sideways.

  5. I think dubois could possibly have a better punch resistance then joshua. I Also think that he actually even hits harder joshua. (he even dropped joshua in sparring) but joshua has alot more experience boxing IQ. I think if dubois learns to move his head as he walks forward. He'll become a serious itch for these current or soon to be champions

  6. The word for his mental make-up is… young.

That's neither here nor there as much as it is to say, he's too early for anything distinctive to have emerged in cognitively revealing terms. Mutually as a human and in career terms alike; give it time Hatman, the intrinsic answers are coming as are harder fights vs. better and therefore more revealing opponents.

    That being said… physically?
Well, here we can be a bit more measured and therefore objective…
Does Daniel Dubois not remind you just a scosche of a more imposing, and quite possibly a more gifted version of Hasim Rahman?

Same long, heavily extended arms; albeit backed up by a better physical frame overall.
And as "young" as Dubois is, and with an age gap between him and Joshua and Wilder; what's the rush here?

Why not take the long-view, bring Dubois along slowly, and have a much more lucrative and inviting shot for it in the mid 2020's give/take?

  7. You know what Hatman I'm gonna agree with you on this one. I'm not a believer just yet and I'm not sure about this kid's IQ. He seems to be quite shy and still a bit too much of a teenager although he's just turned 20. I think that he's turned pro too early for me because he can't keep knocking over bums because the public will demand more. So he has to be thrown in against a lion soon and we shall what he's made of.

  8. I’m not sure we’re Triple D is heading for in regards to world titles but I’m pretty confident we’re looking at another British PPV fighter in the making. In regards to his peers I think we still need to keep a keen eye out on Dacres who is still in the amateurs and one paper is Daniels last hard contested fight.

  9. Daniel Dubois is a "cash cow" in the making… so for the next 2 years or so Dubois will be fighting bums who have practically zero chance of beating him in order to build his brand. Same goes for Yarde. Don't get me wrong, they are top prospects, but they will be protected fighters so don't bother watching their fights for the next year if you want to see anything competitive….

  10. There are many more than decent British heavyweights who should fight Dubois. Unless you make it worth their while, why should they? It’s an easy choice for Darch. Nobody expected him to win and he will have been paid perhaps £50Kfor the fight. Would Price fight for £100K or Chisora? … to be dropped hard by a 6-0 kid? Getting really decent fighters with a lot to lose will be hard. Same as AJ 3 years ago.

  11. I knew Daniel and his dad David soncedanirl was 11… he's not very eloquent because he didn't go school and have any type of formal education.. he was taught at home ( not regularly) his dad was very strict on him and often used to beat him very badly at home after he performed cap at the boxing gym.. he's definitely a hard worker and has been brought up in the ring.. but he does not have that natural ferociousnes about him or that killer instinct.. he is a house let.. he will crumble against Anthony because he don't have that viciousness.. trust me I know this boy does not have the roughness or mentality to fight at top level

  12. Reckon Dubois will drink Joshua in 4-5 years, already slept him in sparring as an 18 y/o kid, imagine him when he's 24-25 fully grown man belting joshua clean on the button with that right hand. He's got a cracking jab to.

  13. Ye you just can't tell where his heads at I feel like if he gets hit with a Barrage of punches by a hard hitting heavyweight he will get scared n go into survival mode but on the other side he could turn into a monster I'm going with my first opinion though

  14. I think this lad is seriously good,he has a better amateur background than aj,he’s been boxing since he was 8-9 years old,I think he quite because he knows how good he is and he’s still young so he doesn’t really have a lot to shout about right now, like yourself I like a spare story and take what you like, myself,I take he left them spares with the full respect of his opponents at the very least

  15. Joshua's intelligence? What are you on about hatman Joshua isn't an intelligent man, he's a good looking, hard punching, exciting fighter who attracts fans through visuals, females through the look, men through the knockouts. He's well managed and has financial backing, despite all this, he actually sounds quite naive and stupid at times, and rehearsed. Every time he tries to sound philosophical and thoughtful he sounds ridiculous
