Game of Thrones author George RR Martin’s 1982 short story In the Lost Lands is being turned into a movie, with a Marvel star cast in one of the biggest roles.
Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista will play a drifter named Boyce who acts as a guide for a sorceress named Alys, played by Milla Jovovich.

The film will be directed by Jovovich’s husband Paul WS Anderson. The pair are no strangers to collaborating, having previously worked together on the Resident Evil live-action movies and last year’s Monster Hunter.
In the Lost Lands, with Jovovich still attached, was originally meant to start filming in late 2015, but it ultimately didn’t go ahead.
The film will be shopped around at the upcoming Berlin International Film Festival, and we’re intrigued to see what happens with it. Being based off a short story, we could see this being right at home on streaming, but we’ll have to wait and see.
