The distribution of a movie or series is one of the last and important steps in its making. The more they reach, the better perceived it is. A good distributor plays an important role in the sales of production. Game of Thrones star Liam Cunningham’s movie The Vault’s US rights belongs to Saban Films. Dean-Charles Chapman’s (Tommen Baratheon) upcoming drama has chosen its distributor for the US. The Irish drama Here Are the Young Men have struck a North American distribution deal with Well Go USA Entertainment and Arclight Films.
The movie is based on the acclaimed novel of the same name by Rob Doyle. Eoin Macken (Cold) has written as well as directed the gritty Irish teen drama. The cast includes Travis Fimmel (Raised by Wolves, Vikings), Dean-Charles Chapman (1917, Game of Thrones), Finn Cole (Peaky Blinders), Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen’s Gambit, Emma), and Ferdia Walsh-Peelo (Sing Street, Vikings).
Here Are The Young Men catalogues the last summer of three Dublin high school graduates. Aimless Matthew (Chapman), his charismatic yet deranged friend Kearney (Cole) and their precocious friend Rez (Walsh-Peelo). They embark on an epic binge to celebrate a future without limits. They witness a catastrophic accident which sends them spiralling. They’re forced to grapple with the most daunting challenge of their lives: facing the demons inside.
The film plans to release in 2021. Are you excited about the movie? Talk to us in the comments below!
