This week I tackle replacing a part I lost on my Weed Eater. Jumping on Fusion 360 I design the part, print it on my 3d printer then cast it out of aluminum. I’m using MachineableWax’s Print2Cast wax filament but it is the same process as lost PLA casting.

I think CNC mill would have done a better job on this one, way cheaper and faster, send the file to one of those sites with cnc mill services, and done.
I had to wait until the end of the video to find out what the hell is a weed wacker, and it's like oh it's a whipper snipper lol
Good video mate, hopefully in the next month or so I will build my electric forge.
Too many bubbles so I would suggest either a vacuum or a pump to remove them as I have seen both ways done and the end result is spectacular.
If you add some potassium salt to your melt you'll get less bubbles
Great video but I would have just bought a new carb. for 40 bucks.
Hey! Sounds like you got a decent mic! Sounds amazing, I may have predicted how much better the video would do… hehe
One more thing though, I can't see anything against that black granite countertop. I'm sure it's a nice work surface, but it's not camera friendly!
I had a part printed in aluminum at Shapeways about three times bigger for $100, came out great.
Nice job! For what it's worth, I think you can use regular PLA for this kind of casting, I've seen a handful of videos that use lost-PLA the same as lost-wax for investment casting.
