There are times when we move on with life, carrying memories of our experiences with us. Some memories dig deep into our hearts, and we want to keep a piece of them alive. The same thing goes for actors and actresses. Each role becomes a new memoir for them. And how can one resist when they have been part of a series as amazing as Game of Thrones for 8 seasons?
Sophie Turner did an amazing job as Sansa Stark, Daughter of Lord Ned Stark, King in the North. The character she played portrayed the dire problems faced by women in medieval times. Some of them can be applied to modern times as well. Her rise to success facing off every obstacle she encountered is an inspiring story for everyone going through a rough patch in life.
Sansa ascended to throne as the “Queen in the North” on her return to Winterfell in the season finale “The Iron Throne”. The character shared deep sentiments with the dire-wolf-carved wooden chair, which once belonged to her father, and so did Sophie. After 8 long seasons, a journey that spanned a period of 9 years of hard work, the show became a part of her.
Turner was just 14 when she joined the show. Being that young, the memories of the set are sure to leave a lifelong impact on her life. It is natural that she wanted to keep a prop from the set as a reminder of an amazing epic she was a part of.
The actress welcomed the prop used as the “Throne of Winterfell” to her home. She posted about it on her Instagram with a photo of the throne at her home with the caption “Welcome”. Sophie recently also welcomed her daughter Willa, along with husband Joe Jonas to their lives, completing the happy family.
